Colin Adams

Mr. Adams has over 25 years experience in international business and relations. For 15 years he has managed and led teams in emerging and developing markets in turnaround, change and general management with a cross-cultural focus. He has led and managed projects involving a wide range of stakeholders including large multinational corporations, smaller companies, public sector and government agencies in Australia, South America and Asia. Mr Adam’s ability to formulate complex business and coordination strategies and implement them has been developed from an extensive industry background in energy, telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, mining, agribusiness, IT and Knowledge Management. As a diplomatic service representative he deployed diplomatic and negotiating skills with a particular emphasis on relationship building, change management and high level advocacy to government in difficult and changing environments. Mr Adams has had a particular focus on international development issues in recent years and currently runs Cardno Emerging Markets Private Client practice, which deploys Cardno’s considerable global expertise in development to the private sector market. He is particularly interested in approaches to pricing social risk to allow for investment-style decisions around risk mitigation and in complexity methodologies for achieving and measuring change in social systems.

Martin Loosemore

Martin Loosemore is Professor of Construction Management at UNSW in Australia. He is also a Visiting Professor at Loughborough University in the UK. Martin has published over 200 scholarly books and internationally refereed articles in risk management, innovation and entrepreneurship, strategy, social enterprise, corporate social responsibility and HRM. Martin was appointed as Advisor on Workplace Productivity and Reform to the Australian Federal Government’s Royal Commission into the Productivity in the Australian Building and Construction Industry and was appointed as a founding member of the Federal Government’s Built Environment Industry Innovation Council (BEIIC) to advise the Minister on innovation policy in areas like climate change, sustainability and industry competitiveness as well as issues such as regulatory reform, workforce capability, skills needs, access to new technologies and other priorities for the industry. In 2014 Martin contributed to The Australian Government’s 2014 Productivity Commission Inquiry into Infrastructure Procurement and provides strategic risk management advice to many leading international organisations in the UK, Europe, China, Australia, Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Yves Guerard

For over forty years, Mr. Guérard has been actively involved in the areas of actuarial services, life & health insurance, pension, employee benefits, social security programs, assets/liabilities management, risk management and information systems for various clients in the private, public and para public sectors. He has done work in many countries such as Canada, Australia, Bolivia, South Korea, Cook Islands, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, Hungary, Kenya, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Venezuela and Vietnam. In 1993, he has been conferred the Commemorative medal for the 125th anniversary of the Confederation of Canada by the Governor General of Canada. In 1997, he was chosen one of top 20 most influential pension professionals in Canada by Benefits Canada magazine. In June 2002, he received the President Award from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and in October 2002, the Society of Actuaries Presidential Award.
