Mahmoud Elbagoury
Mahmud Elbagoury is a Governance, Risk and Compliance Leader consulting various organizations both public and private in a range of industries on different spectrums in the GRC area. Mahmud Currently is a Chief Audit and Compliance Officer with Union Group Egypt and UAE. Prior to joining Union Group, Mahmoud has been worked for KPMG Risk Consulting in a multiple leadership positions as KPMG Business School National Leader, Collaboration and Knowledge Champion, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services Manager, Member of the Board of Directors’ Advisory Committee and was the Governance, Risk and Compliance leader, providing a wide range of risk consulting services including the design and assessment of Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Controls and Internal Audit frameworks, Compliance and Ethics programs. Prior to joining KPMG Risk Consulting, Mahmoud started his career with KPMG Audit and Assurance Services, then worked with the largest telecom service provider in the Middle East and Africa in Internal Audit in a senior position. During his professional services career, Mahmoud advises multinational and regional clients in many sectors such as, Financial Services, Automotive, Industrial, Telecom & FMCG, Governmental and State-Owned Enterprises. Sample of Key projects include: Compliance and Ethics design and assessment for one of leading Automotive Group in the Middle East; Establishment of Internal Audit Function for one of the Biggest Insurance Group in the Middle East; Internal Audit Strategic Sourcing for major Industrial and FMCG groups in EMEA region; Internal Control Framework design and assessment for one of the leading Agribusiness Group in Egypt; Developing several Practice Guides with the Global Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA); Evaluation of the Corporate Governance Codes in relation with the OCED Corporate Governance Principals; With strong Board presence. Mahmoud is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Association of the Certified Fraud Examiners, Member of the Board of Trustees at QEYADA Foundation, and Member of the Institute Relations Committee of the Egyptian Institute of Internal Auditors.

Dr. Adel Mounir is the current FAIR Secretary General with over 30 years of experience in both the academic and the practical insurance fields. He has a PhD in Insurance & Risk Management, Wharton School University of Pennsylvania of USA. Dr. Mounir was the Chairman of the Egyptian Insurance Supervisory Authority, Deputy Chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority, the Vice Chairman of Misr Insurance Holding Company, Chairman of the Arab Forum of Insurance Regulatory Commissions, Deputy Chairman of the IAIS Market Conduct committee, IAIS Executive Committee member. He was also the Chairman of the Egyptian Insurance Institute and the Founder & Board Member of the Egyptian Society for Risk Management. Dr. Mounir is fully aware of the main concerns and the challenges facing FAIR. He has an inner view in the African Markets through his position as Board Member of Africa Re and his affiliation with the International Association of Insurance Supervisors “”IAIS”” as a member of the Executive Committee in addition to the other associations in the Afro-Asian region. He was also responsible for coordinating efforts in the insurance industry on regional and international levels through several MOUs for exchanging of information, in order to foster and to increase the implementation of international supervisory principles and standards locally and regionally.

Mr. Ramzy developed a framework that won the 2015 Global Risk Award in Building Risk Management Capabilities provided by The Institute of Risk Management. He is a Senior Enterprise Risk Management professional with over 16 years of experience in various sectors including energy, engineering, construction and project controls. Having joined the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) in January 2009, Mostafa spent the past 8 years in developing and implementing the Enterprise Risk Management framework within the organization where also he has a considerable expertise in internal and external training. Mostafa delivered many presentations as a keynote speaker and facilitated master classes at many international conferences and forums on Project Management and Enterprise Risk Management. He is currently the only Certified Trainer in Abu Dhabi for the ISO Risk Management Standard (ISO 31000). Prior experience includes working for Mace International and AECOM as a Planning Manager in mega projects including the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center and the Hyatt Capital Gate.
